Lazy Weeknight Pasta

Sometimes all we want to do is throw a super quick pasta together that we know is nutritious, but also super comforting. The key ingredient in this recipe is the Carbone pasta sauce... thank me later
Serves: 5-6

Ingredients
1 bag pasta of choice
1 zucchini, sliced into rounds
1 yellow squash, sliced into rounds
1/2 yellow onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 carton of mushrooms, sliced
1 container of Carbone pasta sauce
1 container of chicken sausage
1/3 cup parmesan or crumbled goat cheese
Fresh Basil
1 tbsp avocado oil
Salt and Pepper
Method:
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions.
2. Saute the onion and garlic until translucent, and then add the squash, zucchini, and mushrooms. Cook until soft.
3. Cook the chicken sausage on the stovetop and drain the pasta.
4. Add the pasta sauce to the cooked veggies.
5. Assemble your bowl with pasta, veggies & sauce, chicken sausage, cheese, and basil!
